Dear Friend in Christ,

This is an invitation to be a part of something that is truly exciting and of utmost importance, for time, and for all eternity. The Orthodox Christian Church was the original church founded by the apostles who walked and talked personally with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Orthodox Church is well known around the world; however, in our country it is sometimes misunderstood or even mistaken for Catholicism. Upon our introduction to Orthodoxy, I had many questions. My questions were sufficiently answered, and to God be the glory, we joined in January 2011. Steve and I have both learned so much about church history and the saints and martyrs who came before us. We are blessed tremendously as we worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness at Holy Cross Orthodox Church in High Point, North Carolina. Our small congregation meets in rented space, but not having space of our own severely limits our outreach efforts. We have purchased and paid for property in Kernersville, North Carolina. God has blessed our efforts to raise funds for a church building. We have pledges of $700,000 toward our total goal of $750,000, but we will need the assistance of other Christian friends to meet our goal and begin to build. As you know, Christians are facing persecution around the globe, and the Christian truths that we hold dear are attacked and belittled. Will you prayerfully consider making a donation toward a new church building in the Triad? This is an opportunity to ensure the gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed here for many years to come, and that the true faith founded by the apostles is shared with future generations.  We are looking forward with great joy to our first worship service in our new home, and hope you will plan to join us on that glorious occasion.
